i-appli
One of the i-mode related services that provide an integrated platform for application programs written in the Java language for i-mode-capable mobile phones. It also refers to the application programs themselves.
i-area
An i-mode related service that offers information on the area around the user's current location as determined by the base station. Typical information provided by services includes weather conditions and nearby restaurants.
i-channel
Launched by NTT DoCoMo in August 2005 i-channel is a news and information service that automatically provides subscribers with various content, such as news, weather, entertainment reports, sports news and horoscopes, delivered to the phone's standby screen as telop text. By pushing the i-channel button, the user can select a channel to view from the list. The service costs 150 yen per month for receiving automatic telop text news and information, which will be updated about every two hours. i-channel users can also add their own channels, which means any information provider can join the i-channel system. A separate packet communications charge will apply for viewing individual channels. The service can run on 3G FOMA 701i series handsets.

DoCoMo's credit card brand offered with Osaifu-Keitai (mobile wallet) service.
i-mode
A mobile Internet service offered by NTT DoCoMo. It was launched in February 1999 in Japan and has attracted over 46 million users. Web access and e-mail are the core services, but many other applications are also offered.

i-mode mail
i-mode mail is the name of the Internet email service NTT DoCoMo offers to I-mode service users over packet communication network (9,600bit/sec). i-mode mail service allows to send messages up to 500 one-byte characters size and receive messages up to 4000 (4KB) one-byte characters size. Packet-based billing applies to both sending and receiveng emails. Short messages (about 40 one-byte characters) cost about 1 Japanese Yen. DoCoMo's Short Mail service is supported too. When exchanging email between DoCoMo's subscribers you can put into the message small emotional icons, but if you send email to PC or another mobile operator's user these icon will not be displayed correctly.
i-motion
An i-mode related service that distributes video-clips to FOMA terminals and allows the sending and receiving of video-clips via the FOMA system. It was launched in November 2001.
i-shot
An i-mode related service that allows camera-equipped mova and FOMA terminals to send and receive photos. Service began in June 2002.
